Baltimore Pet Owners & Pets To Take Vows Of Forever Friendship

BowWow Meow Chapel Of Love
Valentine’s Day at Baltimore Humane Society

Baltimore pet owners will show the love for their pets this Valentine’s Day when they participate in a Forever Friendship Ceremony at the BowWow Meow Chapel of Love on the campus of Baltimore Humane Society.

Pet owners are invited to bring their pets and demonstrate their commitment to their furry friends by taking a vow of forever friendship.  Each “couple” will participate in a fully officiated individual friendship ceremony on this traditional day of love.

Officiant, Cantor Ellen Schwab, will perform a personal ceremony every fifteen minutes.  Vow takers will sign and receive a Forever Friendship certificate and a 4”x6” Valentine photo that they can take home after the ceremony.  There is a $15 fee to participate with proceeds going to the care of the homeless animals at Baltimore Humane Society’s no-kill shelter.  Pet-only ceremonies (without the owners) will also be held for furry friends who are best buds.

“We don’t think pet owners could possibly have more fun on this traditional day of love while showing their commitment to their furry friends,” says Wendy Goldband, Baltimore Humane Society Director or Marketing & Public Relations.  “And what makes it even more special is that they’re also helping animals who have not been as fortunate.”

For those who prefer to skip the ceremony, pets and their families are also invited to come for a Valentine photo by John Milleker Photography.  4”x6” photos can be taken home that day and are only $10.

To reserve a ceremony time, email goldband@bmorehumane.org or call 410-833-8848 ext. 202.
