If these stats can be believed, it is an indicator of good news for all of us in the advocacy community who work so hard to save precious lives. Sadly, though, in the southern states, lax attitudes toward spay/neuter and presumably other factors as well have meant little, if any, reduction in “euthanasia” rates for cats and kittens (I don’t know about dogs as I don’t work for them). There needs to be increased effort in educating the public in those states to spay/neuter and adopt for life, as well as increased efforts to bring cats from these high-risk areas… Read more »
