Our Very First Pet Adoption Tour was a Success! BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions

BARC‘s adorable adoptables were a huge hit across Houston on Saturday during our very first one-day pet adoption tour. Our adoptable cuties made an appearance at several community-wide events like EnergyFest 2013, Houston Pet Talk’s Doggy Party on the Plaza and Heights First Saturday. They also stopped at PetSmart and Petco locations on the west side of town. As always, the animals put on their cutest faces for all the potential adopters out there.

While not every single animal involved in the adoption tour was adopted (bummer!), 43 of BARC’s adoptable animals went home with their new and forever families! We’re super excited about such a successful day out for these animals.

You can see a couple of pictures of the events across town in the gallery below. We even came across a couple of families that adopted their furbaby at BARC months and even years ago. Coco, a lab mix, was adopted from BARC at Doggy Party on the Plaza two years ago. We were so excited that Coco and his parents stopped by our booth this year to say hi. You can see their photo in the gallery. Duke and his dad also stopped by our booth at Doggy Party on the Plaza to say hi. Duke was adopted from BARC back in June. Check out his photo in the gallery. We absolutely love running into folks around town that found their perfect match at BARC!
