Dog rescue organization to host pet adoption April 6

Looking for a four-legged friend? Well look no further than Star Arms on US 377 Saturday, April 6. Local dog rescue, Rescue 2 Rehab, will be holding a rescue adoption event from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Star Arms.

“We are based in Granbury currently,” said volunteer and event coordinator Kayli Bohannon. “But the organization is attempting to branch further this direction and we hope to hold a number of events in the Stephenville/Erath County area in the near future to introduce ourselves to the community. Hopefully this will be one of many adoption events.”

Rescue 2 Rehab works with local veterinarians and shelters to take dogs from high kill shelters and rehabilitate them to be used as service dogs. However, a number of the dogs rescued don't meet the standards for service animals and need homes.
