HULL: An annual charity auction will be held on Saturday at the Whistling Goose pub.
The event is being organised by Pets at Home and all money raised will be donated to Support Adoption For Pets.
The national charity aims to help smaller local charities within the community.
It has so far donated over £5,000 to Carr House Rescue Centre and more than £500 to Oakwood Dog Rescue, both in Hull.
Gemma Cheney, store manager at Pets at Home, said: “We have over 100 lots to auction off ranging from dog food, dog toys, tickets to The Deep, cinema tickets, dog leads, celebrity autographs and even clothing worn by celebrities.
“The auction is free to enter and we also have a tombola and raffle on the night and will be giving away free pet packs and balloons for children.
“We are hoping to raise £1,000 from the auction which will benefit charities in the local area.
“I worked in rescue kennels for seven years and when I came to Pets at Home I still wanted to be able to help as much as I could with the rescue dogs.
“Now, I dedicate as much time as I can to fundraising for them and working for Pets at Home gives me the opportunity to do so.”
The event will start at 7pm at the pub at Sutton Fields with viewing from 5pm.
