KIRKWOOD, MO — (March 18, 2013) Manor Grove, long-term care in Kirkwood, known for its unconditional love and compassion, will hold its second annual Pet Adoption Day, Saturday, April 6, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at 711 South Kirkwood Road. Manor Grove is teaming up with Treats Unleashed, Vet-Pet Rescue, Arsenal Animal Hospital, Missouri House Rabbit Society, and Randolph County Humane Society to present a diversified selection of cats, dogs, and house rabbits of all ages.
The public is invited to come by to meet, greet and participate. And if you just so happen to meet that simpatico cat, pooch or bunny—a kindred spirit, staff will be happy to facilitate the adoption.
The Center for Disease Control even acknowledges the benefits of having a pet. For example, pets can decrease your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels and feelings of loneliness. Pets can increase your opportunities for exercise, outdoor activities and socialization. And you thought a little pet was just cute! It's a tough job for your loving pet to just lie there while you pet them, but if it helps keep your blood pressure down—they’ll do it.
The unconditional love of a pet — companionship, hugs and kisses, fun, honest affection, devotion, best friend, cuddler, heartful, greeter, exercise partner, alarm clock. ALL YOUR’S!
