PAWS will hold a St. Catrick’s Day feline adoption event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at any of PAWS adoption centers.
Those interested in adopting will pay a reduced adoption fee of $17 for every cat or kitten over 5 months of age, according to a news release. The adoption process applies, and there will be no same-day adoptions.
The goal of the promotion is to raise awareness of the cats and kittens available for adoption and how the companionship of a cat can bring years of love and devotion, the release states.
Regular adoption fees range from $30 to $100. The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering surgery, and all PAWS animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. The fee also includes a microchip, with a $15 registration, or tattoo; testing for feline diseases; rabies vaccinations; and treatment for parasites, such as fleas and worms.
The public can view PAWS cats and kittens available for adoption online at pawsofpa.petfinder.org or by visiting any of the four PetSmart adoption centers managed by PAWS: 1125 Quentin Road in Lebanon; 4200 Derry St. in Harrisburg; 5900 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg; or 1700 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster.
