2013 Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic to Benefit The Humane Society of Polk County March 2 & 3

Sat and Sun, Mar 2 and 3, The Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic. The 2013 Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic benefits The Humane Society of Polk County. They will receive 100% of the profits from the event. The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane education. The Humane Society of Polk County is a non-profit organization funded solely by public donations. The Humane Society is Polk County’s first no kill animal shelter! The society is a community service dedicated to prevent animal suffering, care for unwanted, abused, and abandoned animals, and provide many other animal related services. Currently, a new facility is in for permitting and funds are badly needed.This USCF-sanctioned event includes time trials, a road race, and a criterium (street circuit race). It is guaranteed to be challenging and rewarding to the cycling competitors, exciting to the spectators and benefiting a great cause!
