Alpine Meadows honors fallen Patroller

Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley announced that is dedicating the Bill Foster dog adoption room in the new Truckee-Tahoe Humane Society shelter. The new facility is scheduled to built this fall.

Jenny Kendrick, and Amelia Richmond, the PR Directors at Alpine and Squaw, sent out the press release yesterday, February 16. They are excited to be honoring Bill Foster, a veteran Ski Patroller who died in an avalanche at Alpine at the beginning of this ski season.

Foster was instrumental in building the avalanche rescue dog program at Alpine and Squaw. He was, according to Kendrick and Richmond, “…a mentor and coach to every Alpine Meadows dog trainer, past and present.”
