“Today” co-anchor Natalie Morales will take center stage on NBC’s morning show Wednesday to promote her pet cause — shelter pet adoption.
During the 8 a.m. EST hour of “Today,” Morales will unveil a new 30-second public service TV spot she worked on in tandem with the Ad Council, the Humane Society of the United States, the Shelter Pet Project and DraftFCB/Chicago.
Morales is especially interested in pet adoption because her pet dog Zara comes from an animal shelter. Morales reportedly adopted Zara after a “Today” segment about pet adoption ran in April, 2011.
The new PSA is being kept under wraps until the big reveal tomorrow, but it shows Zara observing Morales both in public and in private as we hear the pet verbalize her thoughts about what she sees.
