When is she coming back?
That is what Jagger asked himself for two years after his owner disappeared. What Jagger didn’t know what that his elderly mom had passed away and was never coming back.
Still he waited, living under the house that he had called home for most of his young life. For two years he waited and waited. One of the neighbors knowing his predicament fed him, but could not offer him a home.
Imagine the surprise of the new owners of the house when they discovered a cat living under their home. They spoke with the neighbors, heard the cat’s story and quickly decided to bring Jagger to the ACF.
Jagger has tested positive for FIV – whether from being vaccinated or from a deep bite wound from another cat, we will never know. What we do know is that FIV+ cats can and do live long healthy lives if they are kept indoors, fed well and given lots of TLC.
Jagger was understandably terrified when he arrived at the ACF, but he is blossoming and showing just what a sweet, loving boy he is. He likes to sleep under a blanket and when you come in to say hello and lift his blankie, he looks at you with his luminous eyes and offers a welcoming smile. All you need to do is touch him to have him start purring and rolling. He loves to snuggle in the crook of your arm as he rolls for a belly rub.
Still a little uncertain of his future, Jagger needs a cat savvy person to help him totally recover his trust and confidence.
He would do well in a quieter home where he can complete his healing process.
