Thief caught stealing from Cat Adoption Team’s Thrift Store

A woman was arrested and charged with stealing from Cat Adoption Team’s Thrift Store on Saturday.

Christina Parrenas Wilson and her accomplices were caught and detained on Saturday by Washington County Sheriff’s officers at the Fred Meyer located near the thrift store on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road.

Wilson, 35, pleaded guilty with theft in the 2nd degree on Monday, and charges are pending for her companions. She was arrested by Portland Police on similar charges on Sept. 24.

While at the store, one of her accomplices distracted a store employee by trying to bargain over the cost of a 25 cent item. Wilson took some items into the dressing room, and store employees found empty hangers after she and her friends left.

Store employees estimate she took about 20 shirts worth varying amounts of money.
