St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison offers ‘Pay what they Weigh’ cat adoptions

Madison and North Branch- St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, has 212 cats and kittens in its care and all of them deserve loving, permanent homes. In order to facilitate January adoptions, the Center’s “Flabulous Felines” special offers cats at a “pay what they weigh” fee throughout the month. All normal conditions of adoption apply with the exception of the adoption fee—the dollar amount for each adoption will be set to match the chosen cat’s weight in pounds.

“We have a wonderful selection of kitties at both shelters and we hope that ‘Flabulous Felines’ will entice people to consider adding a feline member, or maybe a pair, to the family,” said Colleen Harrington, Director of Shelter Operations. “No matter the size of the cat chosen, adopters will be getting a wonderful companion at a really minimal cost.”

All cats and kittens available for adoption are age-appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and spayed/neutered. With the exception of Christmas and New Year’s Day, St. Hubert’s shelters at 575 Woodland Avenue in Madison (973-377-2295) and in North Branch at 3201 Route 22 East (908-526-3330) are open 7 days a week. Visitors are welcome Sunday-Tuesday from noon until 4 and Wednesday-Saturday from noon until 6. To see the pets available visit
