Dog Adoption Event Planned (CT)

LITCHFIELD — Rescue Dog Village, a non-profit rescue organization, will be hosting its January dog adoption event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, at PetCo, 980 Torringford St., Torrington.

Many of the dogs available are in desperate need of homes.

Adoptable dogs of many breeds will be there, including several Labrador retrievers.

All dogs for adoption are healthy, veterinarian checked and up to date on their vaccines.

The dogs live in private foster homes and are available once an adoption application has been approved.

Adoptable dogs can be viewed online at www.recuedogvillage. com.

Those interested in adopting can fill out an application before the event for pre-approval atwww.rescuedogvillage.com.

Applications will also be available at the event.

There is an adoption fee which covers all previous veterinary costs and vaccinations.

Rescue Dog Village’s primary mission is to curtail the number of perfectly viable yet unwanted animals that are brought into shelters and then euthanized simply because of pet over-population and a lack of adopters.

The group is also in need of foster homes and volunteers; applications are available online atwww.rescuedogvillage.com.

Those seeking additional information may contact Sallie Norelli at rescuedogvillagepr@gmail. com.
