Staten Island dogs and cats are ready for adoption

Saturday and Sunday

Cat and kitten adoptions: Members of the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare will be in the cat adoption room at Petsmart, 1520 Forest Ave., Port Richmond from 1 to 4 p.m. to help visitors get to know the cats available for adoption.

Sunday

Cat and kitten adoptions: Meet animals in the care of Staten Island Hope Rescue at Petsmart, 1520 Forest Ave., Port Richmond, and PETCO at 2795 Richmond Ave., New Springville, noon to 4 p.m.

Kitten, cat and dog adoptions: Meet animals in the care of Louie's Legacy at PETCO, 2795 Richmond Ave., New Springville, noon to 3 p.m. View the animals at www.louieslegacy.org.

Dog adoptions: Dogs in the care of the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare may be seen at Country Estate Kennels, 4838 Arthur Kill Rd., Charleston, 10 a.m. to noon. Dog and cat adoptions: Animal Care and Control, 3139 Veterans Rd. West, Charleston. Adoption hours are noon to 7 p.m. seven days a week. Closed on all holidays. 
