Orphan Cats ask Santa for homes – Tampa Bay Pets Online

Cat Depot has over 40 beautiful kittens whose single wish to Santa is a home for the holidays. “We are asking members of our community to please open their hearts and homes to one or two of these beautiful kittens,” said Shelley Thayer, executive director.

For many of these kittens, it has been a long and arduous journey in their short little lives. Take Miracle, for example, rescued on State Hwy. 70, after a semi-truck drove over the top of him. Shaking and frozen in fear, a daring rescue attempt brought to Cat Depot. His only wish is for a stable home, food and love.

Every kitten at Cat Depot has a heart breaking story, but they show us their resilience and zest for life. The purring and antics delight everyone who visits, but come Christmas morning, they all want to be in a loving home.

Open seven days a week, come visit the more than 140 cats and kittens who are waiting for you. Shop in their Cat Depot Supply and Gift Store, specializing in cat supplies and unique gifts. Open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Handicap accessible. Cat Depot is located at 2542 17th Street, Sarasota, Fla. 34234.
