The City of Winnipeg's animal services agency is holding an adopt-a-dog sale to place 49 canines in new homes this holiday season.
Dog adoptions are $99, which includes a licence, a micro-chip, spaying and neutering, basic shots, food and pet health insurance, the city said Tuesday.
The sale will take place from noon until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from noon until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at the agency's pound at 1057 Logan Ave.
Among the dogs available for adoption is Ming, a female German shepherd-mix who is about three or four years old. Her adoption fee is usually $189.
Since Ming did not have a dog licence tag when she was picked up by animal services officers, staff are reminding all pet owners to make sure their dogs are licensed.
