Counting down to Christmas in Citrus County –

The Friends of Citrus County Animal Services (FOCCAS) invite all animal lovers to play Santa and fill up the sleigh inside Citrus County Animal Services at 4030 S. Airport Road, Inverness (Map), near the fairgrounds and airport. The sleigh will be parked in the front office through Christmas, but donations are welcome at any time of the year.

The following items are always needed and much appreciated: bleach, bath towels, blankets and sheets, canned cat food with pop-top lids, cat litter, dish-washing soap, hard rubber dog balls, newspapers, paper towels, pet shampoo, throw rugs without backing, toys

Pet food is needed to help local residents who can’t afford to provide food for their dogs and cats. To help these citizens feed their pets and avoid having them surrendered to the shelter, you may donate dog and cat food, both dry and canned at the shelter, or local food banks.
