If you're looking for a new buddy, you can take a look at pets from multiple nonprofit pet rescue organizations on weekends through the month of December.
“Home for the Holidays” Pet Adoption Center in the Mill Creek Town Center is being sponsored by Paddywack and Panos Properties.
Adoptable pets will be available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through December 23. The open house format for the center encourages families to come visit with potential adoptees and learn about pet adoption and care.
Last year’s national “Home 4 the Holidays” pet adoption campaign announced that loving adoptive homes had been found for over 1.25 million orphaned animals. The 2011/2012 season brought together 4,000 animal organizations around the world for the shared goal of getting as many animals placed over the holidays as possible.
“Home 4 the Holidays” encourages those considering a pet to adopt from their local animal organization rather than purchasing a pet from a backyard breeder, puppy mill, or pet store.
