BC SPCA drops cat adoption fees for next two weeks

Cyber Monday deals include more than big screen TV's this year. The BC SPCA is hoping half-price kittens will encourage you to adopt one.

We're just kidding; the discount isn't really for Cyber Monday. Kim Monteith with the society tells Citytv cats are going un-adopted for far too long.

“The goal, really, is to get them into homes. They don't need to be in shelters… [One kitty has] been in the shelter for 101 days,” says Monteith.

Our recent cold and wet weather has caused a crisis for volunteers trying to find shelter for thousands of cats.

Today through December 9th, adoption fees are being slashed by 50 per cent. Every cat also comes spayed or neutered and vaccinated.
