Summit Animal Rescue plans adoption fair in Scotch Plains

Summit Animal Rescue Association announced its third Annual Pet Adoption Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Parker Gardens, 1325 Terrill Road, Scotch Plains. The event is open to the general public.

There will be a number of cats and kittens that are available for adoption as well as dogs from Best Friend pf Cranford on Saturday and All Star Pet Rescue on Sunday. There is no entrance fee to attend this event.

The purpose of this event is to generate awareness about Summit Animal Rescue Association and to raise funds to help continue their mission.

Attractions at the fair include but are not limited to:

— Ask The Vet with Dr. Fuerst of Boulevard Vet in Kenilworth on Saturday and Dr. Daly of Plainfield Animal Hospital on Sunday.

— Dog Behaviorist and trainer by Pat Ali of One Happy Hound Canine Training.

— Associated Humane Mobile Clinic on Sunday — $10 vaccines and microchips and more.

— Pet Valu discussing Pet Nutrition on Saturday

— Largest Bake Sale of the year

— Various Vendor booths

— Raffle
