Fill Your Christmas Stocking with Coal the Dog – Your Houston News: Living

From Montgomery County SPCA, Conroe, TX:

How many of you remember your parents cautioning you that if you didn’t behave, all you would get in your Christmas stocking was a big lump of coal? Maybe we didn’t want a lump back then, but hopefully, for someone out there, this Coal will be just what Santa Claus ordered!

Meet Coal, a precious German Shepherd mix male puppy who is so sweet and lovable and would be a perfect Christmas present for just about any family. (Of course, never give an animal to anyone as a surprise!) This is one happy fella! Just look at that smile! Although he was named Coal, his beautiful short (ie. easy to care for) fur is not entirely black as it contains spashes of tan. As with most puppies his age (Coal is about 3 months old), Coal is extremely playful! He loves to play with his toys but mostly he loves to play with his people. And Coal loves kids too! Right now Coal is rather small, at 15 pounds, but we suspect that as an adult, he will be a medium/large boy weighing about 65 pounds: just the perfect size for an active family!

In addition, Coal gets along great with other dogs! (We’re not sure about cats.) Coal is housetrained, current on all shots, heartworm tested and, of course, neutered. Now all he needs is a family looking for lots of tail wagging, puppy kisses and, of course, unconditional love!
