This week’s Pet of the Week is Rex:
Rex was found in a home with 2 other dogs a couple of days after his owner had passed away. After a rough few weeks with his foster mom, he settled in and is showing his true colors; a warm, loving dog.
Rex loves being pet by the humans in his house. And one of his favorite things to do is lay on the nice cold floor and his favorite treat is a pigs ear.
At 8-years-old, he has shown signs of arthritis but currently is being treated with over-the-counter pain medicine which works well for him. He likes walks. Right now he is going on a ½ mile walk every other day. A little exercise is important to keep him at his best.
Rex is crate and potty trained. Rex is good with other dogs and cats. His ideal living situation would be in a household with no small children, minimal stairs (due to his arthritis) and owners that are patient. Rex will take while to warm up to you. But when he does, he’ll love you forever.
