Rescue Network to hold pet adoption day and golf event

PELHAM — On Saturday Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Animal Rescue Network of New England will hold a Pet Adoption Day at the First Congregational Church on the intersection of Route 111A and Main Street.

At the event, shelters from all over New England and beyond come together to interact with the public to show the pets available for adoption, as well as to introduce the different areas that they, and the shelters that care for them, desperately need your help.

ARNNE will also present the 5th annual “Putts fore Mutts” Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 10, at Windham Country Club, 1 Country Club Road in Windham, N.H.

The event is sponsored by Subaru of Nashua and includes the “Hole in One” prize of a 2013 Subaru Legacy.

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Stuff-the-Truck with donations

NASHUA — On Sept. 11, make a difference for Nashua-area residents in need by supporting United Way and UPS in their “Stuff-the-Truck” collection of non-perishable food and other items during United Way's 21st annual Day of Caring.

The UPS “Flame Truck” will be accepting donations from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p,m. at Saint Philip Greek Orthodox

Your announcements of pet events and fundraisers are fantastic. It is great for agencies to get some very good ideas.
