Onslow County Animal Services invites the public to attend the inaugural Catapalooza Cat Adoption Event on Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4. A family friendly event, Catapalooza will include children’s activities, cat care demonstrations and information, and more.
Adopting a furry feline friend just got twice as nice thanks to the special adoption fees for cats and kittens starting on Friday, August 3 through Saturday, August 4. Residents will be able to adopt two cats for the single adoption fee of $50.00. “Felines usually breed during the spring and summer months. So it is not unusual for us to receive a high number of mother cats and kittens during this time of year, says Alan C. Davis, Onslow County Animal Services Director. “It is our goal to find good, loving homes for as many kittens and cats as possible. Therefore, we are offering the public the opportunity to make life-long friends with two cats, instead of just one.”
The adoption fee for both cats includes a health exam, vaccinations, and spaying or neutering. There is a 14-day return policy on all adopted pets. However, if a family chooses to return one of the adopted cats, they will not receive a refund unless both cats are returned. While visiting with Animal Services, please ask staff about dog adoption specials, as well.
Onslow County Animal Services is located at 244 Georgetown Road in Jacksonville. The shelter is open to the public for pet adoptions – 12 pm to 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday; Fridays 12 pm until 3 pm; and Saturdays 10 am until noon and 1 pm until 3 pm.
Adopters can usually take their new pet home the same day. Payment methods include cash and credit card.
