Jack loves attention and plays well with the other cats at the St. Johns County Pet Center. The 6-year-old has already been neutered and is up-to-date with his shots. He’s waiting at 130 N. Two-year-old Vicki loves to smile. This affectionate brindle hound mix is a leaner who loves leaning on people. She is negative for heartworms and is current with her vaccines. – First Coast pet rescues have banded together to find homes for more than 800 cats and dogs. The Mega Pet Adoption Event continues July 14 and July 15 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, 510 Fairground Place. Adoption fees are $25; active and retired military personnel do not have to pay an adoption fee. Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
