Kitten season is in full swing at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC). To encourage adoptions, the HSTC will host “Su-purr” Saturdays the entire month of June. All cat and kitten adoptions will be reduced from the normal $40 adoption fee to just $20 on each Saturday in June.
Cat adoptions are available at the HSTC shelter, 4100 SW Leighton Farm Ave. in Palm City, and the HSTC Thrift Store, 2585 SE Federal Highway, Stuart. The shelter’s adoption hours are Mon. – Sat. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wed. 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Thrift Store is open Mon. – Thurs., 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Fri. – Sun. 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Each cat adoption includes sterilization (spay or neuter), an overall wellness check, age-appropriate vaccinations (including rabies), first de-worming (hookworms & roundworms), microchip and registration, feline leukemia test, flea/tick treatment, free 30 days of pet insurance from Pet Health Inc. and one bag of Hill’s Science Diet pet food.
