Love animals? Then mark Sunday, May 20, on your calendar.
That’s when the Woodbridge Animal and Pet Adoption Center is holding their 5th Annual DogWalk and Pet Fair, a substantial fundraiser for the shelter that does such great work for homeless animals in the township.
The walk begins, rain or shine, at 11 am at Alvin Williams Memorial Park in Sewaren, with a 10 am check-in. From the park, all leashed pets and their owners are welcome to walk to the Animal Shelter on Woodbridge Avenue, where there will be a huge Pet Fair.
Seventeen different vendors and eight different animal rescue groups will be at the fair, along with a Doo Wop hot dog truck, Frosty Paws dog ice cream, and Sparkee, the Somerset Patriot’s mascot.
Live music by Family Traditions will be provided, along with animal contests, prizes, and more.
The fee to join the walk is $10 per walker, all of which benefits the shelter’s pets. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
