PAWS Introduces Pet Adoption on Wheels

A local pet adoption agency says they normally have up to 70 homeless animals.

PAWS Humane Society held their first adoption event this afternoon with their new Mobile Adoption Vehicle, or “MAV” at the Edgebrook Shopping Center. The vehicle can hold up to 17 pets and organizers say they use “MAV” to show residents what the animals are like away from the shelter setting.

Luan Dean, director, adoption day, says, “Well it’s important because a lot of times people don’t feel comfortable going to a shelter to adopt animals and fall in love and adopt them.”

Winnebago County Animal Services also brought animals for adoption.
