Two cats who were abandoned behind a dumpster in the south end are ready to be adopted.
At the end of January, the cats were found by a passerby who heard them meowing. They were left in a carrier designed for one behind a dumpster at 1960 Paris St.
Jan Carrie Steven is a volunteer at Small Things: CATS & Books in the west end, where the cats — Rumball and Terrace (named for where they were found) — are waiting for loving owners.
” They’re so healthy and friendly,” she said. “They initially had some cat flu, which is very, very common, but they’ve recovered 100%.
” They look identical, but one of them is far more outgoing than the other. They’re both sweet, gentle little cats. Really, really nice boys.”
Steven hopes the two cats will be adopted together, as they are very close.
