Pawmetto Lifeline is proud to announce the Grand Opening of their Adoption, Medical and Education Center on Bower Parkway. The Center, named the Meyer Finlay Pet Adoption Center of Lexington and Richland Counties, will be open to the public for the first time on March 7, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. The Center is located at 1275 Bower Parkway, Columbia, S.C. 29212.

Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization with a plan in place to end pet overpopulation in the Midlands through education, legislation, spay/ neuter programs, and responsible pet adoptions. Each year over 21,000 dogs and cats enter municipal shelters in Lexington and Richland Counties and over 18,000 of those same pets are routinely euthanized in those systems. Pawmetto Lifeline endeavors to transform the Midlands into a no-kill community, meaning no healthy, adoptable pet is euthanized simply because it is homeless. Formed in 1999, Pawmetto Lifeline has rescued over 9,000 cats and dogs from local shelters in Lexington and Richland Counties. For more information, please visit www.pawmettolifeline.org.
