It is going to be raining cats and dogs at Riverside County Animal Services, as the county expects a double dose of precipitation Tuesday.
Anyone coming to a county shelter can adopt a new four-legged friend at a discounted rate as long as they remember to say the phrase, “Boy it’s raining cats and dogs!”
Dog adoptions are normally $105, so the $20 fee is a pretty deep discount, Animal Services director Robert Miller said.
Cat adoption fees are already at a budget friendly $15, and that price will be the same during the “rainy-day” special promotion.
The “rainy day” special will continue throughout the year, as long as it rains on the actual day of the adoption in Riverside County.
