‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’ program promotes pet adoption – jdnews.com

Instead of traditional Valentine’s Day gifts like candy and roses, Onslow County Animal Services is asking people to consider adopting a new love.

Onslow County Animal Services will waive fees and provide opportunities for rabies vaccinations during this month’s “Adopt-A-Sweetheart” program.

“Adopt-A-Sweetheart Pet and give it a loving home on Valentine’s Day,” Onslow County Animal Services Director Alan Davis said. “The love that your new furry Valentine will bring into your life is immeasurable.”

“Adopt-A-Sweetheart” continues through Feb. 18 at Onslow County Animal Control Services, located at 244 Georgetown Road in Jacksonville. Adoption hours are: Monday through Thursday from noon till 7 p.m. and Friday from noon to 3 p.m.
