CCPAL kicks off the New Year on Saturday, Jan. 7, with its first visit of 2012 to the Market Place in Old Town Helotes for the Frontier Days Celebration. This fun-filled, family-oriented event features dozens of vendors selling everything from hand-made wooden benches, stools, and signs to antiques and home-made jams and preserves. Some vendors are regulars, others are seasonal, but there are always new things to see and new foods to try. Our volunteers will be set up in their usual spot by 10 a.m. and will stay until 3 p.m. They will have lots of beautiful adult dogs and puppies all eager to find their forever home and family. Each one is already spayed or neutered, current on its vaccinations and, of course, micro-chipped. Some of the pets are recent arrivals to our shelter, while others have been waiting patiently for many months for their spot in the adoption lottery. Take a look at them all, especially the shy ones. They are all friendly, loving critters and each one deserves its own special loving home.
My featured pet this week is Babe, a lovely little black Labrador mix with a shiny, coal black coat. She is about 2-years old and has a great, happy-go-lucky disposition. This is a young lady that has lots of love to give and will make an ideal pet for someone looking for a small adult dog. Babe is full of fun and ready to claim your heart. She and her sister, Briana, are the last two un-adopted sisters out of the original litter of four and they have been with us for over a year now. Let’s make sure that 2012 is the year their dreams come true. To meet these cute sisters contact Marlene at email@example.com or 210-867-1769 or Sue at firstname.lastname@example.org or 210-392-8083.
