Mandarin Adoption Center seeking volunteers – jacksonville.com

The Mandarin Adoption Center at 10501 San Jose Blvd. is seeking volunteers to work as pet cleaners, walkers or adoption counselors. Those who can volunteer at least twice a month are preferred, a news release said.

First Coast No More Homeless Pets recently took over the nonprofit no-kill pet adoption center from the city’s Animal Care and Protective Services.

Shifts for cleaners and walkers are 9 a.m. to 1 pm. or 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 am. to noon or noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Shifts for counselors, a position that requires additional training, are 1 to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Shorter shifts are available during certain times, the release said. Email volunteer@fcnmhp.org with your desired position and date.
