Raleigh Hills residents now not only have a chance of picking up quality clothing and a cornucopia of other items, but they can help out the area’s only no-kill cat shelter at the same time.
Earlier this month, the Thrift Store, Benefiting Cat Adoption Team, opened in a 4,500-square-foot space in the Scholls Crossing shopping complex.
On Nov. 2, the Raleigh Hills Business Association, along with representatives from the Tualatin and Sherwood chambers of commerce, hosted an open house at the new business, located at 4838 S.W. Scholls Ferry Road.
Nancy Bruton, executive director of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce, said she was impressed that the store would provide employment opportunities for the area, especially given the current economic landscape.
