Finding the right pet sitter takes some planning – OregonLive.com

If you’re going away for the holidays, you should be thinking now about who will care for your cat or dog while you’re gone.

Thanks to Cat Adoption Team for these helpful hints:

-A relative, co-worker or trusted neighbor may be just fine for feeding your feline and cleaning her litter box.

-If Fluffy has special needs, such as medication or special diets, you might consider a vet tech or assistant from your veterinarian’s office.

-You can also hire a professional pet sitter – just make sure he or she is licensed and insured.

-If you’re not comfortable with someone coming to your home and your cat would adjust well to a new environment, you may consider a boarding kennel. Here’s what you should look for in a cat boarding facility.
