CaPOOCHino is an event that offers new grounds for pet adoption.
Dogs and cats from the Redlands Animal Shelter will be at Stell’s Coffee & Tea Co. Nov. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All of them will be available for adoption.
“There will 10 to 15 (animals) there, a few kittens and some dogs,” said Bonnie Hopson, a 2 1/2-year shelter volunteer, who organized the event.
Other shelter volunteers will be there to help.
Animals that are available to be adopted but do not come to the event will be shown by photograph.
Some adoptees may be taken home that day. It will depend on whether they have been altered.
“They all have shots but some aren’t spayed or neutered yet,” said Hopson. “If they have to be fixed, you have to come back to get them. Otherwise you can take them home that day.”
CaPOOCHino ends at 2 p.m. but the shelter will be open until 4 p.m. that day, so any unfinished shopping or paperwork can be completed there.
There will be an opportunity drawing at the end of the day.
