The Hudson Valley SPCA of Orange County is hosting a unique fundraiser on Sunday bringing together the “cute” and the “cool.”
The “cute” are animals belonging to the SPCA, and the “cool” is more than 350 motorcycles on display at the Motorcyclepedia Museum.
The animal shelter is hoping to find new owners for more than one hundred dogs and cats they’ve recently had to rescue.
Heather Hallack from the Hudson Valley SPCA said, “We are going to have several dogs, cats, and kittens available just to pet and enjoy time with. And then if you’re interested, you can always just fill out an application, and of course see us down on Little Britain Road in New Windsor.”
Motorcyclepedia Owner Ted Doering said, “They were running into some financial difficulty, as all charitable organizations are, so we thought by combining motorcycles and the pets, we could bring two things together to get more interest.”
Sunday’s pet-adoption day runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Motorcyclepedia Museum on Lake Street in Newburgh.
