record-setting 226 pets were adopted during Seattle Humane Society’s first-ever free pet adoption fair, “Fall for a Friend!” Adoption fees were waived on all pets on Seattle Humane’s adoption floor and website Oct. 7-9. 103 pets were adopted on the first day of the event, setting an all-time high for the most pets adopted from the shelter in a single day!
Nearly 2,500 people visited Seattle Humane over the weekend to meet hundreds of kittens, puppies, dogs, cats, and critters available for no-fee adoption. Seventy kittens found homes of their own as well 47 fabulous senior and long-timer cats and dogs. The most mature pet adopted during the three-day fair was Tabby, a 15-year-old brown and black tabby cat.
