The dog adoption suspension at the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) will be lifted Friday morning at both the Milwaukee and Ozaukee Campuses after test results confirmed an initial group of dogs to be very low risk for contracting the distemper virus.
Those dogs will become available on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.
“We are confident that this group of healthy dogs are not carrying the Canine Distemper Virus,” said Anne Reed, executive director at the WHS. “In fact, we are offering 25% off all adoptions to help them go home faster.”
