PETS GONE WILD is on the move and coming to the Binder Park Zoo picnic pavilion area. Pets Gone Wild is a dog and cat adoption event that takes place Saturday, September 24th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. This event is hosted by Battle Creek Companion Cats a non-profit rescue organization made up of volunteers. The mission is to spay or neuter un-owned cats to reduce overpopulation, thus ending the suffering of abandoned and homeless cats living on the streets. Once spayed/neutered the goal is to place them in an environment that best fits each cat. This method provides the most humane living situation possible.
The following animal rescue groups will participate in Pets Gone Wild with their rescued dogs and cats available for adoption: Companions Cats, Almost Home Collie & Sheltie Rescue, Humane Society of South Central Michigan, Project Hope Animal Rescue, Bear Creek Rescue, SPCA of Southwest Michigan, Richland Animal Rescue, Refrubished Pets of Southern Michigan, All Species Kinship, and Dogs Deserve Better – Michigan.
