Betty Bridge is a self-confessed cat lover, but even her patience can wear thin when it comes to irresponsible pet owners across the Gladstone region.

The Friends of RSPCA Gladstone cat foster care co-ordinator has seen hundreds of cats and kittens come and go before her eyes.

The last out-of-control cat breeding season was possibly the worst, with Mrs Bridge stunned at the poor condition of some severely malnourished cats and kittens rescued by the group.

After taking several months to decrease their cat numbers through adoptions, Friends of RSPCA Gladstone is on the cusp of facing yet another cat breeding season in coming months.
