Cat Adoption Program launches in Burlington

he Burlington Animal Shelter is calling all Burlington citizens to consider adopting a feline friend during their inaugural cat adoption program, taking place from September 9th through the 16th.

“We have a high number of adoptable, adorable cats and kittens in our shelter this year and we’d love to see them find good homes,” said Animal Control Supervisor David Lake. “Our friendly staff and volunteers are here to help people find the right animal for them; one that best suits their personality, home and lifestyle.”

The shelter currently has over 35 cats and kittens waiting for someone to give them a forever home. Cats can make good pets, but Lake reminds residents that taking on any pet is a long-term commitment.
