Paws For The Cause 2011 – Westchester.com

Pets provide unconditional love and reverent loyalty that is rarely imitated. Regrettably not every pet is lucky enough to find a forever home and offer such allegiance. Many pets are abandoned, abused or otherwise surrendered by the families that can no longer care for them. Rescue organizations strive to find new, loving homes for these pets so they can once again become a member of a caring family.

Recycled Paws Rescue, an Ambassador for the Purina® Pro Plan® Rally to Rescue® program, is hosting an adoption event, Paws for the Cause 2011, on September 17, 2011 to raise awareness and funds for pet rescue and help local homeless dogs and cats find permanent homes. This event will help achieve the Rally to Rescue® goal of providing loving, forever homes to 500,000 animals across the country, since the program’s inception, by the end of 2011. Since 2005 Rally to Rescue® and its Ambassadors have successfully found homes for more than 400,000 homeless animals. Last year Pro Plan Rally to Rescue organizations found forever homes for more than 100,000 dogs and cats across the country.
