Humane League of Lancaster offering final free cat adoption to end summer – CBS 21 News

As part of its summer long campaign to increase cat adoptions, the Humane League of Lancaster County will waive adoption fees for all cats once again, starting on August 25 and continuing through August 31.

The goal of the “Cats of the Caribbean” and “Hairy Potter” adoption campaigns was to find homes for 750 cats between May 20 and August 31, a 14% increase over feline adoption numbers from the same time frame in 2010. The League celebrated its 750th adoption of the summer on August 13, when “Raven,” a two month old kitten who was adopted from the League’s off site adoption center at That Fish Place, That Pet Place.

That Fish Place, That Pet Place will donate $5.00 to the HLLC for every cat who is adopted from the League’s off site adoption center in their store during August 25-31.
