My wife, Donna, spent two years looking at Young-Williams Animal Center’s web site searching for a small, cute adult dog to replace our old and sick Lhasapoo, Muffin, who had to be euthanized.
In late July, she read about a 4-year-old Maltese who was just surrendered but no picture had been posted yet. She had planned to go by and see it after completing some errands, but a nagging concern made her turn around and drive straight to the Center.
She entered just in front of another lady looking for the same dog. When the attendant brought the dog out, Donna nearly collapsed! It was almost a clone of Muffin–calm and sweet and instantly drawn to my wife. She wanted me to see it first so she asked the folks to hold him for 24 hours.
