You can help get $100,000 for Gaston County cats and dogs – Gaston Gazette

Gaston County Animal Control has entered the adoption phase of the ASPCA $100K Challenge and officials say they need 1,102 pets to be adopted in the next three months.

Animal Control is vying for grants in the competition totaling $300,000 from the ASPCA, with a top prize of $100,000 being awarded to an animal shelter.

Laurel Watson, a volunteer coordinator with Angels of Gaston Animal Rescue in Dallas, says that the adoption goal is lofty but the prize money would be wonderful for animals.
