About a year ago, a feral tabby, soon-to-be mama cat decided to have her four kittens under our deck. Having three inside cats already, we had to keep the ferals at bay, yet try to care for them.
We got them through a tough winter with a deck doghouse for five and lots of food. These cats were completely feral and it took a lot of prompting and time to settle them down.
Spring brought the big step: trying to catch them all, one at a time — which was not going to be easy — and get them to our vet to have them all neutered, wormed and filled full of shots.
