Humane society plans dog wash, adoption fair – The Fayette Tribune, Oak Hill, W.Va.

If Fido or Fifi is in need of a good scrubbing, or if you’re searching for that perfect pet to welcome to the household, the New River Humane Society has just what you need.

The humane society is planning a dog wash and pet adoption fair on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the parking lot of Diogi’s restaurant in Fayetteville. All proceeds will benefit the humane society.

It’s the second time the dog wash/adoption fair has been staged at Diogi’s, according to NRHS spokesman Felicia McKinney.

“It’s the second year we’ve had it at Diogi’s,” she said. “The owner, Barbara (Aguilar), loves animals and is willing to help us out.”

The 2010 event turned out extremely well, McKinney said.
